The Road

The road is long
Sometimes smooth, sometimes rough.

Our path in life sometimes seems unclear
And a voice of direction we sometimes don’t hear.
What lies around the corner we don’t often know
but as time goes by, we learn and we grow.

We choose not to look behind and though we can’t see ahead
Here together is where we have both been led.
In the present is where the two of us reside.
And in this moment I’m happy to be by your side.

I hope we get to spend more time together
I hope we have great adventures together.
It may be strange, but I feel at peace when I’m with you
And when you’re away,
I’ve found that I miss you.

The rarest of things are the hardest to find
But sometimes are found, with persistence and time.
With no plan or agenda, you can know that its true
That I now find happiness in time spent with you..
