O ' what a joyful day it would be for me,
to be in thy sweet presence ,
and share just one moment with thee !

A beautiful image of you,
is forever in my mind and shall not leave,
no matter how I wish for it to.

Thy arms are in another, lucky may he be,
for I may never meet another girl such as thee,
before I cross over that distant sea -
