So we think we fall in love so easily
When we meet someone that sweeps us off our feet
And when he smiles we melt inside
Says our name and we want to run and hide
But love's not that way
It's when you stick it out day by day
Even when things don't go your way
When he makes you laugh and makes you cry
Your heart aches so bad you want to die
No matter how much you want to leave
All you ever do is try
Because you know in the end you'll get on by
Yes, love has nothing to do with the colour of his eyes
The brightest of his smiles
Leave behind the butterflies
The little gifts and valentines
It's when even on a bad day
When things don't go your way
All you can do is stay
