Only His Secret

She felt so alone most days,
In love with a man she could not have.
A nagging feeling from deep inside,
She wanted so much to believe in his words
And her own feelings.
But inside she felt like
She was a secret never to be told.
Late at night her thoughts are filled with him,
The way he would someday touch her,
His eyes looking so deeply into hers
With a wanting and needing
Sometimes to good to be true.
On a night not so long ago he reached out to her,
Touching and making love to her
In such a way she had never felt,
His gentle hands touched her face
And he softly kissed her lips.
He looked in her eyes with such love and passion,
Made love to her in such a way
Her body still ached for him
Even in her awakens as if her body had truly felt his
And she laid there and wondered,
Will she ever feel this or is it just a dream?
She hears his voice, his laugh,
And his wanting deep in her head
From the day before conversation
And her wanting and needing deepen,
She closed her eyes just to see his face
And as in days before the image was fading somehow,
She felt a part of her losing him somehow
And was trying desperately to get it back.
All at once he calls her as if he has heard her pain,
And again soothes her, and again she believes.
This night as every night to come
She will dream of him and his love..... and wait.....
Holding all the love inside
Trying not to believe she will always only be his secret....
