First Love Poem ~ First Love

Deep within the ambiguity of my soul,
Thrives the beating of another heart.
Indefinitely symbolizing a past love,
Provoked only through this lowly form of art.

This heart once consumed my soul,
Pulsing through my body as a life force.
And now through its petty existence,
It beats slowly but surely without coarse.

May this heart forever live,
Never to be subdued by another.
Merely put aside in a special place,
To be touched only by one and no other.
