Unrequited Love Poem
~
My Perfect Day

As you’re away from me, I dream about the perfect
day. This would be a whole day spent with you. No
distractions. No obstacles.
You would treat me and look at me as if I were
the only woman who captured your heart and soul. We
would spend a simple day doing all the practical
things that should be done.
I would have you all to myself
For the whole day, we are engrossed in conversation
about everyday events and people who are in our
lives, in our world, But not occupying out space in
time at this very moment.
I feel enraptured and you’re happy for the euphoric
feeling of my bathing in the bliss of your
attention. Then later I feel the warmth of your
kisses and touch.
Love making would be so passionate while you hold me
so close while I feel so protected. You whisper to
me with loving words and eyes how you don’t want to
leave, but I know you have to go. I have had this
moment frozen in time. It’s enough to keep me happy
for a life time.
That is a perfect day.
