troubles strip you naked of all dignity
life goes on
people inhibit your destiny
life goes on
the dreams of youth are now of the past
life goes on
that teenage love that doesn't last
life goes on
that endless pain and shrieking cry
life goes on
and without him you are sure to die
life goes on
and when it does
this empty feeling
that missing link
this giant void
stitches itself from the stab through the heart
and before we cry again
we laugh
because life goes on
it will go on
