Who would have thought that faithful day we met
and you became my friend
that we would end up soulmates until the end
we hit it off right away shared many a great time
we knew that special friendship was forming yours and mine
so as time past slowly by we knew in each other\'s heart
that a friendship like ours was oh so very smart
so the powers of love swept down on angel\'s wings
made us the kind of love that makes the bluebirds sing
our troubled pasts was the subject of many talks
to help carry them away to a place where no man walks
we carried each other through difficult places
that just brought a smile through many a teary eyed faces
the walls of your heart that was so barricaded in
I slowly picked away and broke the door and began to win
as we sit here tonite and carefully reflect back
and think about that wall that I did attack
this beautiful lady that if call my own
is truly the guiding light that will safely bring me home
