Close The Book

If love never fails that why do people leave?
Why does death make us so greivous?
If love conquers all,
Why didn't I win your heart?
Why did this fall apart?
There is no live from which to start

When the future gets too close
I run behind me
Searching for your open arms
Only to find the same cold air
From which you breathe
To greet me in place

When people get too close
I look behind
Wander through chapters
Of words written by a lost soul
Emotion beyond description
Because love gives meaning
It cannot be controlled
Paused or murdered aimlessly

Discover its imposters
Discover yourself
And what you truly
Clutch till your bosoms bleed
Because through the chapters
I see
People always leave

Still Love never fails
