Thankfully Blessed

I thank you god for all that is real
as i prepare this thanksgiving meal
thank you for blessings sent our way
thank you for the love you show each day
i look upon the beauty all around
and say a prayer as families gather round
i pray for the sick and the weak
i pray for lost souls to find you as they seek
i pray for the soldiers off fighting far away
that they will know peace on earth this day
i thank you for the love you send
i thank you lord for the comfort of friends
i thank you for my time here on earth
i pray i have used it well for all its worth
i hope i have offered all that i can
to give love hope and peace to my fellow man
so thank you lord on this thanksgiving day for the hope love peace and blessings sent our way.
