So Maybe I Don't Know

I wear my heart on my sleeve
to afraid to be unnoticed if i bound it with fences
as i have wished to do
captures cunning in my thoughts
defy virtues for mere game
and all the things i\'ve wanted
i find only in song
and the only love i ever found
is now long gone
these days i feel much stronger
for someone else
one who is no stranger to my obsessive affairs
and my vivid imagination
but his heart belongs to a transparent soul
and i digress
so maybe i don\'t know what love is
you refused to show me
i refuse to let you
i could never imagine
wasting time with anyone but you
now images of my 1000 lovers
replace you
so maybe i don\'t know what i want
and i sacrificed my 100 years for 100 seconds of your deep breathing
pleading that you\'d show me
so maybe i don\'t know
but i can tell you this
you will always be my you
and i will always be the shadow of your conscience
you taught wear my heart on my sleeve
but i digress
