i dare you to listen
i dare you to say a word
reach out the box
of obvious possibility
and catch my eye this time
i ask you to see me
look through the must haves and the maybes
your perception of perfect
that has never ceased to exist
this emptyness is all you\'ve left me with
no-one appreciates my answer
no-one hears my song
so this is just another
just like all the other
disappoints
highs and lows
just one step back from love
almost into pure desperation
you are fairly insignificant
but you bring new meaning
now i must pick up the pieces again
all by myself
