Lost Love Poem
~ Lost You
by Maria H
The bells rang
The birds didn't sing
The sun stopped short it's rising
The clouds turned grey
The blue sky black
And I knew I'd never get you back
The rain poured all around my face
And I had nothing left to chase
I knew no-one could ever begin to replace
The bond we made
One which no-one could ever persuade
us to break away
As time rolls on
And age overcomes
There is no more we can run from
The future they so ever urged us to plan
As been presently put in our hands
To make it happen
To make it our own
Not old enough to vote
But considered full grown
Thrusted out into the world
Although with alerting swing
We prepared for all
Though we felt prepared for nothing
As time winds down
And my heart slowly dies
And no-one's ears falls on my lonely cries
Surround my self with those of shallow eyes
Shallow skies
With whom there is no surprise
I contemplate that I lost you
I hate that I lost you
Like a son who lost his mother
Life gives you the greatest pleasure
People who help you, hold you
Protect you and guide you
Just only to take them back
I hope you know I want you back
