I Still Remember

On a cold day
When I can see my reflection in the puddles
Raindrops around me fall so effortlessly
I miss you
Just a little bit

When he speaks to me
Romance and contents I'd never thought I'd hear
I wonder if they were ever to be uttered by your lips
I wonder just a little bit

Forget the past
All the feelings that didn't last
All in the deep ocean that is my heart
You are not replaced
Forget the pain
Pain that should of caused me to be criminally insane
I will not be in vain of you and me or you or me or us or we
Were we ever?
I don't think we were meant to be
Loving you was just a lesson for me

Now that the fall nights are warmer
I don't think of you
For years to come you were my summer
My sunlight and my morning dew
But I confess
I've never been loved by another like this
Forget the past
Forget that "it" didn't last
I just wonder for a little bit
It could have been you
I still remember
it could have been you
