I knew you were special
From the beginning
If I had heard
Your voice
Just say those words
Those three words
I would have been
Forever in heaven
Your smile
Made the words disappear
I couldn’t speak
Only embarrass myself
Crazy enough to think
Think it would be "us"
We could be
"them"
It was a dream
That never
And will never
Come true
I had my head
In the clouds
For way
Way too long
Not realizing
That it was her
Not ever at all
Me
I was blind
And broken
I pretended
I didn’t care
Now I regret
My actions
Wondering if at all
We could have been
My heart was broken
But I smiled
For I play pretend
Each time I saw you
You with her
