Another Chance For Romance

When we first begun I knew you would just play me.
But in my heart I prayed you'd be true to me.
How it all ended tore my heart completely apart,
But you are the one I knew inside my heart.
Last night you told me that you really loved me,
I wish that was true but its hard for me to believe you see.
I wish I could only make you see how much I honestly love you,
But you are with her and I have to respect that too.
I know that she takes a lot more from you than I ever will,
But what if I promised that my love for you would always be real.
Would you come back to me and try to make it last,
Or would everything turn out as it has in the past.
I guess what I'm asking is for you to give us one more chance,
Hopefully this time it will work out and we'll at last have romance.
