Sweet Love Poem
~ A Kiss From A Rose
by
Evan Grotevant
But wait, a kiss from a rose.
It rose, from the grave, to come and save...
Me?
I love it, I take it all in.
Oh, but am I being selfish?
To steal a few minutes with this wonder, I would sacrifice
parts of her.
So I wait now.
Wait 'til the time is right so I can touch every inch of her
again.
I love her and she loves me.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
No matter how much noise is around us, I can always focus on
her.
She is a driving force in my life.
Her voice fills my ears, head, and overflows into my heart.
Slowly, though, like honey pouring out of a jar.
Crisp, yet soft.
A thing of beauty.
Something to hold onto forever.
